The trend is our friend: is it yours too?

At Oxido Solutions, we are trying to benefit from inefficiencies in the crypto market based on the philosophy ‘the trend is your friend.’ This means that aligning your trading activities with the existing market trend usually leads to better results than going against it. This idea is based on the tendency of market trends to continue for a considerable time, driven by momentum and investor behaviour. Therefore, capitalising on these trends is typically less risky and more straightforward than trying to predict when they will shift.

Our philosophy and extensive trading background has resulted in trend-following trading strategies that were designed for Bitcoin Perpetual Futures. This allows us to make money whether Bitcoin goes up or down. In addition, our strategies run on relatively short time frames. This helps our bots find small trends, even when there’s not much happening on a larger scale. It’s true that our trading system isn’t perfect; there are times, like last month, when even small trends are hard to find (find the link to our performance sheet in the comments). But these quiet times don’t last forever. Sooner or later, the market will start moving again, just like it did a few days back when we made a big short trade.
